Program Information

The California Accidental Release Prevention Program (CalARP) requires any business that handles more than threshold quantities of an extremely hazardous substance per California regulations to develop a Risk Management Plan (RMP) to prevent or mitigate releases of substances that could have off-site consequences.

The RMP is implemented by the business to prevent or mitigate releases of regulated substances that could have off-site consequences through hazard identification, planning, source reduction, maintenance, training, and engineering controls.

The following RMP is available for public review and comment by appointment at the CUPA for 45 days after the publication date of the notice.
