Age Group Served: Adults, FYC & High School
Program Description: Trainees/Interns will learn the complex system of California Medi-Cal industry-standard documentation requirements, high-quality treatment planning, electronic record keeping, and community-responsive skills and tools. They will learn how to deliver relevant clinical services and the skills needed to navigate a dynamic community mental health system of care successfully. They will also develop relationships with seasoned LCSW, LMFT, and licensed psychologist staff.
Placement Period: Early August- Late May
Program/Placement Hours: Varies by program. CCT interns minimum of 12-24 hours per week. High School interns 24 hours per week over a minimum of three days.
Preferred Discipline / Experience: Graduate students in counseling, social work, and psychology. Minimum one year clinical experience preferred.
First or Second Year Students: Second year students preferred, though we have accepted first year students with exceptional experience.
Supervision & Training: 1 hour per week individual, 2 hours group, and 1.5 hours of didactics every two weeks for all interns.
