988 Crisis and Suicide Prevention Hotline

988 is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number available 24/7 for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis and needs support and resources.

Community Assessment and Transport Team (CATT)

The mobile crisis team is comprised of an EMT and mental health clinicians.

Crisis Intervention Training (CIT)

Crisis Intervention Training is a specialized mental health training offered to law enforcement and other first responders.

Crisis Stabilization Units (CSU) / Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT)

Crisis Stabilization Units and Crisis Residential Treatment provide alternatives to psychiatric hospitalization.

Critical Care Management Team

Comprised of licensed clinicians, the Critical Care Management Team supervises psychiatric resources, authorizes services for those on involuntary holds, helps to ensure quality care, and collaborates on treatment plans.

Emergency Operations Disasters and Response

County employees are official disaster services workers in accordance with the CA Governmental Code.

Geriatric Assessment & Response Team (GART)

The Geriatric Assessment & Response Team is an outreach and engagement team for adults 55 and older.

LPS Designation

Category I Full Designation for 5150/5585 evaluation & treatment facilities. Category II Professional Designation for individuals working in facilities or teams that provide 5150/5585 evaluation and transportation to a Level I Facility.

Mobile Crisis Team

MCT operates with two clinicians who respond to mental health crisis calls from the community, providers, 988 and 911.

Mobile Evaluation Team (MET)

MET operates with a licensed clinician and police officer with a focus on 911 mental health crisis calls within Oakland and incorporated Hayward.

Outreach and Engagement Teams

This program is for clients who frequently utilize psychiatric emergency rooms and/or have frequent contact with the criminal justice system and need to be connected to care.
