Program Information
Alameda County is a diverse geographic area with the potential for natural and human-caused disasters such as earthquakes, wildfires, severe storms, flooding, nuclear incidents, and acts of terrorism. In the event of a catastrophic disaster, the human and economic impact will be devastating, and recovery will be delayed. Impacts to communication systems, water and food supplies, transportation systems, medical services, sewer systems, fuel supplies, and electrical power will be severely impacted. We encourage the residents of Alameda County to plan and prepare their families for emergencies in advance. Resources are available here to assist you before and during a disaster.
