Alameda County Nutrition Services features seasonal Harvest of the Month in the annual calendar distributed in January. The calendar highlights nutrition information in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, and English.
Build Healthy Eating Habits with USDA MyPlate Resources
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has developed MyKitchen | MyPlate to help people build healthy eating habits.
MyPlate illustrates the five food groups – fruits, grains, proteins, vegetables and dairy – that are the building blocks for a healthy diet. A variety of nutrition resources (tips and activity sheets, videos, songs, games, toolkits, social media messaging) is offered for specific groups.
