We work with partners across Alameda County to provide comprehensive and compassionate substance use treatment programs that include evidence-based therapies, medication assistance, and support services to treat addiction and promote recovery.

Adolescent/Youth Substance Use Continuum of Care

We offer cultural, linguistic, and age-appropriate individual and group addiction and prevention treatment programs for youth aged 11-17.

Alameda County Substance Use Access & Referral Helpline

We provide screenings, assessments, referrals to treatment, and care management coordination.

CARE Court

The CARE Act authorizes specified adult persons to petition a civil court to create a voluntary CARE agreement or a court ordered CARE plan for persons with untreated schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.

Drug & Alcohol Prevention Services

We can help prevent mental and/or substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders and related problems to improve critical behavioral and physical health.

Medication Monitoring

We review the medical charts of prescribers for clinically and medically appropriate care, proper documentation, and giving feedback and consultation.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

We offer Medication-Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder (opioid dependence with addiction).

MHSA Community Services & Supports

Community Services and Supports (CSS) funds comprehensive mental health services for individuals and families experiencing significant emotional and psychological problems that would benefit from intensive office and field-based services.

Mobile Evaluation Team (MET)

MET operates with a licensed clinician and police officer with a focus on 911 mental health crisis calls within Oakland and incorporated Hayward.

Opioid Treatment Programs

Our available opioid treatment services are essential for individuals struggling with opioid use disorders.

Perinatal Services

Pregnant and parenting women with young children get priority access to substance use treatment.

Recovery Residence Programs

Recovery Residences provide a community-centered, safe, family-like living space designed to support individuals as they progress in their recovery.

Workforce Development Programs

We oversee the bringing of psychiatric residents, fellows and other trainee prescribers into ACBHD programs.
