Program Description: As a Senior Housing Services intern, you will be part of our clinical team, providing a range of services to seniors aged 55 and above. Tasks include intake assessments, clinical case management, ongoing psycho-social assessment, counseling, and psycho-education groups. This team is responsible for case management services, support groups, housing clinic, and operating three transitional housing units. Students will collaborate with our Senior Housing Services team to assist in carrying out these tasks. Additional tasks may include linkage to community resources, accompanying clients to medical appointments, crisis intervention, working with clients housed in St. Mary’s transitional housing programs, and supporting clients who are housed/aging in place. As a Senior Housing Services intern, you contribute to a community of hope, healing, and justice, dedicated to clinically focused and thoughtful interventions. We place a high value on teamwork and consultation, addressing issues such as transference and countertransference, implementing trauma-informed care, and providing a safe space for our clients.

Placement Period: Varied placement dated will be considered

Program/Placement Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm M-F

Preferred Discipline / Experience: MSW, MFT

First or Second Year Students: Second Year

Supervision & Support: Ongoing individual supervision by LCSW or LMFT plus training relevant to the population and weekly clinical client review at staff meetings.
